Eye testing

90% of vision loss is preventable or treatable if detected early, but many conditions have little or no symptoms in their early stages. Regular eye tests are essential for preventing vision loss at every stage of life.

Our examinations provide a thorough assessment of your complete eye health.

What’s different about our eye tests?

At ACO Eye Health, we provide a thorough assessment of both your vision and eye health. Our highly skilled optometrists have extensive experience in all eye care issues, ranging from routine to complex ocular disease.

During your visit, we check for macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, cataracts, and other eye conditions. Based on your needs, you may receive tests or imaging at no additional cost to ensure you get the most complete care.

Due to our thorough testing, our appointments are scheduled for 50 minutes.

Our experienced team provides inclusive and supportive services to ensure people of all ages, languages and abilities feel welcome and cared for. As Victoria’s only public health optometry provider, we work closely with the state government to deliver subsidised care through the Victorian Eyecare Service.

Affordable glasses and contact lenses

ACO Eye Health offers a wide range of stylish and affordable glasses.

For Pensioner or Health Care Cardholders (or listed dependents), glasses are available at subsidised rates through the Victorian Eyecare Service (VES). Subsidised glasses for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are also available through the Victorian Aboriginal Spectacles Subsidy Scheme (VASSS). Both programs are proudly funded by the Victorian Government.
